The Caleva ‘Datastor’ ^TMSystem

· Caleva extruders and spheronizers are widely used within the pharmaceutical and allied industries.

· Records of operating parameters and product temperature during both processes can be vital for quality control and scale-up or can be a GLP requirement

· To measure, and automatically record, operational parameters and product temperature during processing Caleva can offer its unique Datastor ^TM package.

Principles of operation

· Datastor™ is a unique “plug in” option that can be connected to any current Caleva Extruder 20 (or larger) or Spheronizer 250 (or larger). Earlier models will require modification (done by Caleva free of charge).

· Touch screen control of all functions.

· All data automatically recorded and stored.

· Several parameters measured (including product temperature).

· Automatic data download when the supplied USB memory stick is connected.

· Read-only results summary sheet generated on a PC using supplied MS Excel add-in.

· Raw data can be transferred to a PC away from the laboratory for additional processing or storage if required.

If your laboratory has both a Caleva extruder and spheronizer only one Datastor is required as the machine can be used with both.

· Easy to use and simple in operation.

· Records are automatically stored in the apparatus during normal use.

· Data recording at 5 second intervals.

· Datastor can be used on all Caleva gear and screen Extruders.

· Datastor can be used on all Caleva Spheronizers larger than the bench-top Spheronizer 120.
