Do you need a Spheronizer system for continuous spheronization and built specifically for your needs?

Large spheronizers from Caleva can be designed for continuous bulk production applications, the combined extruder / spheronizer units provides a single or twin drum spheronizing facility that can be programmed to complete automatically the spheronization (pelletization) of a measured product batch.

Although spheronization is essentially a batch process “Twin” units are custom built to automatically provide continuous output from an extruder.

All larger systems including “Twin” systems for continuous processing are designed and built to your specific requirements. Talk to us without any obligation and use our experience to have the extrusion/spheronization system that is designed specifically for you.

Typical batch weight can vary from 5kg to 20kg. Productivity per hour will depend on the required process time which, in turn, will depend on the characteristics of the material and the required quality of the spheroids (pellets) that are produced. For some products process times of less than 30 seconds are used but a more normal time is about 4-7 minutes. In some cases spheronization for 12 minutes is used.

Maintenance and service:

Caleva has built pharmaceutical spheronizers (pelletizers) for more than thirty years. This experience enables Caleva to design its spheronizers to require minimal maintenance and consumption of renewable parts.

Specifications allow the Spheronisers 700 and 700T to run continually. We currently provide service and upgrades (when requested) for production spheronizers that have been in constant use for many years.

They are designed for large scale production use. All Caleva production extruders and spheronizers feature GMP design, 316 stainless steel construction and are designed and built to meet individual requirements (eg. An integral or remotely located control panel or designing an extruder/spheronizer combination with particular size constraints).
