Output and Productivity

·   The achievable throughput is dependent on the properties of the material being spheronized. 

·   If a five minute spheronization time and a load of 130-150g is assumed (spheronization time can be from 0.5 to 10 minutes), production of 1.5kg per hour can be achieved. 

·   This amount is generally more than enough for research purposes.

Available Options

Several options are available according to the needs of your products.  Please discuss with us what would be suitable for you.  Amongst the options available are:-

·   Fines Air system for dusty products.  Designed to eliminate dust falling between the disc and the drum.  A useful option for dusty products.  Requires an air supply of >1bar 6mm bore.

·   Spheronizing disc with cross hatch sizes according to your specific requirements.

·   A radial groove disk for gentler processing of your material where this is required.

·   Anti-stick, and other coating for drum and discs.  Useful when you have to deal with sticky materials.  Coating materials are FDA approved for food use.

·   Drum heating/cooling jacket to allow your process to run at a controlled temperature.  Useful in hot climates or when your product needs to be above or below ambient temperature.  Excludes temperature control and water recirculatory system but we can supply this for you if wish.
